Controls Center is Hiring a TECHNICAL MANAGER - I Near Monaca, PA

The Technical Manager position has crucial responsibility for supporting the growth of all residential and commercial products, including key offerings such as Daikin equipment. This position supports distributors, dealers, contractors, and partners closely by providing expert consulting and through educational and technical support. This role is responsible for cascading our Customer Solutions Business Strategy with their actions. The Technical Manager will join our mission to “Make the tech in the truck more efficient” and embrace our vision to “Enhance lives through solutions.”

Position Responsibilities:

  • Closely work with business partners to ensure better understanding of customer needs
  • Recommend and deliver technical solutions to common challenges and top of mind issues 
  • Assist with the development and delivery of educational content to support Johnstone’s industry leading training programs
  • Partner with customers to provide expert technical advice and best method to deliver (phone call, on-site, virtual) as it relates to anticipating and resolving technical issues; including training – Promote use of technology for resolution
  • Maintain and increase a referral network for additional relationship opportunities
  • Help leverage industry best practices and create value within existing and new customers
  • Assist sales team in identifying common industry needs and help identify/prioritize 
  • Provide analysis to identify pain points and build solutions around the right technical processes

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in building relationships with senior leaders, associates, and external customers
  • 4 to 5 years of hands-on technical expertise in residential, commercial and light industrial HVACR
  • Extensive industry knowledge and emphasis on troubleshooting/root cause analysis skills 
  • Provide expert advice and the skill to educate and train with technical and non-technical people 
  • One to two years prior experience in a similar/directly relevant position 
  • Experience in providing service knowledge and/or expert instruction, as it relates to technical proficiency 
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience; a degree in HVAC is preferred
